The classical reference describes Balarishta as traditionally valued for its Vata-balancing, nourishing, strengthening and digestive-supporting properties. Powered by the traditional strength-supporting herb Bala and the Rasayana Ashwagandha, Balarishta is a classical fermented Ayurvedic preparation used to support strength, nourishment, recovery and stamina. Its traditional Asava-Arishta fermentation process naturally generates alcohol, which helps extract and preserve the botanical constituents, giving the formulation its distinctive character. Bala literally signifies strength and is valued in Ayurveda for supporting physical strength, nourishment and vitality. Ashwagandha is regarded as a Rasayana and is valued for supporting strength, vitality, endurance and the body's ability to cope with everyday physical demands. Balarishta combines Bala and Ashwagandha with other herbs such as Shatavari, Rasna, Prasarini, Gokshura and Eranda, creating a holistic Ayurvedic formulation traditionally associated with nourishment, strength and Vata balance.
